Disarming Jews in Nazi Germany Was a Good Thing!

The blogger at Allergic to Bull takes it apart but here is a sample of what he’s dealing with, from the Mother Jones article:

If Jews had been better armed, Spitzer says, it would only have hastened their demise.

Quite a far cry from, “It’s better to die upon your feet than to live upon your knees” isn’t it?

Spitzer’s view is that to die fighting early would have been the same as, or worse than, dying later after degradation, enslavement, and torture in the camps.

And now for a bit of irony:

Gun policy “wasn’t the defining moment that marked the beginning of the end for Jewish people in Germany. It was because they were persecuted, were deprived of all of their rights, and they were a minority group.”

Deprived of their rights.  A right like, oh, the “right of the people to keep and bear arms” perhaps?
