Life, Liberty, and the Firearms that protect them both

Veterans Day

It saddens me to think that this day passed with so little ceremony that I almost forgot it was Veterans Day.

I didn’t though.  And as with Memorial Day, I want to highlight a charity that serves those who have served our nation.

Today I donated to Honor Flight Columbus, and encourage you to do the same.

Honor Flight is an organization dedicated to providing free transportation and escorts to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. for WWII veterans.

Since the memorial was not completed until 2004, the majority of veterans have lacked both the means and opportunity to visit their own memorial.  Honor Flight exists to give them both as their small way of thanking them for the free nation we enjoy to this day.
